Gracious speech is more than sweet talk. When the Bible speaks of grace it means unearned kindness. So gracious speech is full of benefit to others, not to oneself. It’s slow to condemn and quick to encourage. Whether gentle or tough, it’s true and helpful and free of hidden agendas.Jesus taught that a pure heart leads to gracious speech: "What you say flows from what is in your heart" (Luke 6:45). Gracious speech brings healing everywhere it goes. It’s proof of life with God.
